Clinical Ethics Fellow and Senior Lecturer
Joel T. Wu has received an MPH in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, as well as an MA in bioethics and JD from the Case Western Reserve University. He has also completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Program in Bioethics and Professionalism at the Mayo Clinic. From 2010 to 2015, Wu conducted health policy research and development at either the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine at the (formerly) Institute of Medicine, or at the Brookings Institution at the (formerly) Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform. He returned to Minnesota in 2016 to continue work at the intersection of ethics, health policy, and health care. Currently he holds a position as Clinical Ethics Fellow at Children’s MN, where he serves as a member of the ethics committee, ethics consultation service, and IRB. He also teaches courses on public health law and ethics, and bioethics and policy for the University of Minnesota
