Mary Lynch is an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has held a number of different positions in the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, and is currently a supervising attorney in the Child Protection Division. Mary has worked in child protection for over 15 years, with ongoing experience involving the Indian Child Welfare Act and related issues. She is active with the Minnesota County Attorneys Association, has served on the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Public Access, the current Minnesota Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Juvenile Protection Procedure and the Committee’s ICWA Subgroup, and has participated in Minnesota Children’s Justice Initiative trainings and projects. Mary has been an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and has presented trainings on a number of topics including child protection law and vulnerable adult issues in criminal cases. She received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
