Rebecca Wilcox, MSW, LGSW, manages the Child Safety and Prevention unit in the Child Safety and Permanency Division at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. The Child Safety and Prevention unit is responsible for policy and practices development and oversight related to Community Based Child Abuse Prevention, the differential response continuum, Family Group Decision Making, labor and sexually trafficked youth, the Children’s Justice Act taskforce and Citizen Review Panels.
Rebecca Wilcox has served in public child welfare since 2001. Working in partnership with families, she began primarily as a family assessment and investigation worker in two southeastern counties in Minnesota. In 2007, Rebecca joined DHS and has served in various roles in the Child Safety and Permanency Division since.
Rebecca graduated in 2001 from Winona State University with her BSW. In 2006, Rebecca graduated from Augsburg College with her MSW.
